It’s over folks! The Oscars are done for another year and FINALLY Leo will be able to add that elusive Academy Award to his mantelpiece. The Revenant star took home the gong for Best Actor while the heavily-favoured Brie Larson won Best Actress for her role in the charming Room.
Spotlight caused a stir amidst movie fans by pipping The Revenant for Best Picture award, as well as winning for Best Original Screenplay.
The biggest shock of the night saw Sylvester Stallone lose out on the Best Supporting Actor accolade to Bridge of Spies actor Mark Rylance. The Creed star was the odds-on favourite to win for his performance as Rocky Balboa, 40 years after he was nominated for playing the character the first time.
Elsewhere, Mad Max: Fury Road ended an impressive awards season with the most Oscars of any movie, taking home six in total.
