If you couldn’t get any more excited for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, brace yourself – Warner Bros. has released two new teasers and they’re amazing! Scroll down for all the details!
Along with the stunning new poster, Warner Bros. have revealed two brand new teasers for Zack Snyder’s soon-to-be-released comic book epic during Sunday’s NFL playoffs. While the reasons as to why Bats and Supes would want to kick the ever-loving crap out of eachother have been hazy speculation thus far, we now have a pretty good sense of their mindsets as far as motives are concerned.
The first TV spot shows Clark Kent approaching the Batman situation in his day job at the Daily Planet newspaper. But according to Perry White (the always brilliant Laurence Fishburne) nobody wants to see Clark Kent taking on the Batman. As a result, he decides to take matters into his own hands and take him on as Superman.
The second puts us in the shoes of Bruce Wayne. He blames Superman for leveling Metropolis with his grudge match against General Zod in Man of Steel. For this reason alone, Bruce tells Alfred (Jeremy Irons) that he must be treated as a serious threat who could wipe out the entire world. Obviously someone isn’t a happy camper!
While I’ve been pretty vocal about my disappointment in the last Batman v Superman trailer (I’m still not sold on Darkseid) these two teasers have given me everything I need to get excited for the superhero blockbuster. Add this to the first Wonder Woman footage and the amazing Suicide Squad trailer (see our favourite bits from that here), and things are starting to look very bright for DC and Warner Bros. in 2016 and beyond.
