In an interview with IGN, Deadpool actor T.J. Miller has divulged some of the more inappropriate jokes that were simply too dirty to make it into the final cut. Scroll down for all the details.
It’s officially less than a week until Deadpool is released over here in the United Kingdom and I couldn’t be any more excited than I already am. Here at What’s in Film, we’ve been saying for a while how we think this movie will be a complete game changer, and one of the reasons why is because of the hard R rating.
Let’s face it, it simply wouldn’t be Deadpool without his signature depraved humour and twisted approach to crime-fighting. But apparently there were some jokes in the script that even this film couldn’t bring itself to include.
Speaking to IGN, T.J. Miller – who plays Weasel – let viewers in on some of the filthier moments that didn’t make the final cut. Some of the examples were:
You look like a trucker shit on your shoulders and then shaped ears into it.
Someone pulled your balls up through your mouth and wrapped them around your head.
While inventive, I can totally see why these jokes didn’t make the grade. According to Miller, the jests were scrapped because they were “physically difficult to image” – it’s hard to imagine why! They were supposed to fit in when Weasel looks upon Wade Wilson’s hideously scarred and disfigured face for the first time since the experiment, a scene where he currently remarks that he looks like “an avocado had sex with an older avocado”.
If you’ve got a much darker sense of humour than most, you’ll be happy to here that a director’s cut of the movie will be arriving at some point later in the year, and I’m sure filthy jokes of this ilk will make it into that incarnation of the story. But don’t worry, there’ll still be plenty of NSFW moments in the release next week.
Deadpool arrives on British soil February 10, while our friends in the U.S. get the movie February 12.
