4. 10 Cloverfield Lane
The first trailer for this movie was actually the subject of the very first article on our young site. It’s safe to say, in the two weeks since, our opinion still hasn’t changed. I was a huge fan of the original Cloverfield and have been waiting patiently ever since for a sequel. Now it seems we’ve got one (of sorts) and I couldn’t be more excited.
The Super Bowl spot may only be 30 seconds long, but it’s frenetic, tense and haphazard – as most things usually are during a monster apocalypse. We learn more about the story and why they’re all hanging out in John Goodman’s underground bunker. But the bit that will no doubt set tongues wagging, is the final shot that sees a light coming up from behind a house, followed by a ungodly monstrous bellow.
