5. X-Men: Apocalypse
You’d think the wheels would start falling off the X-Men franchise now. After all, it is the eight instalment. But with Bryan Singer back at the helm, there seems to be a renewed vigour that’s been growing since X-Men: First Class.
I’m not usually a supporter of the “slow soundtrack + explosions = atmospheric” type of trailer. In fact, I think it’s been done to death. But for some reason, it completely works. With inspired casting choices and a young body of actors well and truly coming into their own, X-Men: Apocalypse seems to be setting the stakes higher than ever, with a fantastic looking villain to boot.
